We build strength, stability, and self reliance through shelter.
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) has an open-door policy. We welcome anyone who shares our belief that everyone needs a safe, decent, affordable place to live, regardless of race, religion, age, gender, political views or any of the other distinctions that too often divide people.
Since 1990, we have built, rehabilitated and repaired more than 1,500 houses in neighborhoods across greater Los Angeles and the world. We believe shelter is a basic human need and Habitat LA strives to achieve its goal of eliminating substandard housing by making decent, sustainable and affordable housing a reality for all.
Together with volunteers and future homeowners, Habitat LA has improved the housing stock throughout our service area, by investing millions into our local communities to revitalize neighborhoods across Los Angeles and creating more access to affordable housing.
Partner Families are partners with us throughout the whole process from contributing sweat equity hours helping to build their home to making their monthly mortgage payment. Meet some of our homeowners.
Keep up to date with all our achievements, special events, housing initiatives, and affordable housing projects.
Meet the people who put the Habitat mission into action: our valued Board Members, our wonderful President & CEO, and our amazing staff!
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles is an Equal Employment Opportunity company and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or other protected status.
I love the idea of working for a greater cause. It makes it all worthwhile. Not just for my family and I, but for so many more!
